Bringing Floor Plans to Life, One Story at a Time

Design Consultation

The Design Consultation is an up to 2-hour working meeting to discuss the needs & wants for your project and to formulate your next steps.

Maybe you’re finishing a basement or getting rid of the 1970’s paneling.

Maybe it’s the kitchen that just doesn’t function for how your family lives day to day.

Maybe you’re building a new home and the options are overwhelmingly endless.

Maybe there’s a wall could come down and open up your space.

Maybe it’s a furniture layout that is just not working.

All you know is that what you’ve tried in the past isn’t working and you just need advice from someone who knows how to bring it all together

You need someone who knows what will or won’t function well and that can see your home with a fresh set of eyes to give you some direction on creating a home that will make your life easier.

Whether you are looking for personalized ideas for your home that you can implement on your own or help with the hundreds of decisions that will need to be made during the design of your new home or renovation, this is where it all starts.

Investment: $295 for up to 2 hours, travel may be extra

• You know the end results you want and just don’t have time to run around coordinating all the decisions for your project.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge for a consultation?

Yes. Our Initial Consultation is so much more than just a meet and greet. This is a working meeting where we will delve into the design dilemmas you are having with your home; we will openly discuss options and I will give you ideas on how I am envisioning your space. I don’t believe in keeping ideas to myself during the consultation and would have a hard time doing so. I would much prefer you come away with actionable feedback you can implement on your own or an understanding of the direction I am moving towards if you decide to continue with additional design services through Sunrise Design.

What is the biggest benefit of working with Sunrise Design?

We are here to help with relieve you of the overwhelm and stress that comes with building or remodeling your home. At Sunrise Design, we take the time to listen and understand our client’s desires for their home and will walk you through selecting finishes and layouts that will meet the desired results. We will show you how your home will come together through 3D renderings, product samples and concept boards. We prevent headaches and having to resort to the “eeny-meeny-miny-mo” option. With the big decisions all out of the way, you can relax and enjoy the building process of your new home or remodel.

How involved are we in the design process?

As much or as little as you would like and feel comfortable with, but my most successful designs have been ones that were collaborative with my client. A design is elevated when all parties are involved and excited by the possibilities of the creative process!

Is there a difference in a consult for new construction vs a remodel?

After the initial consult, if you have a new construction project we will take a look at your new home plans. For remodels, additional time may be needed to photograph and measure your current space.

How do we get started?

It’s simple and fast: email me or give me a call to set up an initial, 15-minute discovery call! This is a quick ‘meet and greet’ call where I learn a little about you and your project. I’ll send you my ‘Getting to Know You’ questionnaire and invoice for an Initial Consultation. At the consultation we will discuss your design dilemmas and I will give you actionable advice on your design project. If you’d like to continue working with me for additional Design Services, we will review and sign your contract at the end of your consultation.
